The aim of this research was to evaluate the prevalence of signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders in patients with otologic complaints seeking care in clinical otolaryngology. The questionnaire of the European Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders (EACD) in a population of 106 individuals of both sexes and aged between 14 and 80 years old from of clinical otorhinolaryngology city of Pocos de Caldas (MG) was applied. Among these, 70 responded affirmatively to at least one of the four questions and were directed to the application of the RDC / TMD axis le diagnosed subtype of TMD and otologic symptoms present. The TMD patients were divided into two groups, group A (patients with ear disease) and group B (patients without ear disease) and in both groups was verified the interrelationship between subtypes of TMD and otologic symptoms. SPSS (The Statistical Packages for Social Sciences - SPSS 10.0.1) was used, with the test Qui- quadrado, Normal Test for proportions, considering the significance level of 95%. Met 57 % of the sample prevalence of TMD, myofascial pain was the most prevalent subtype of TMD (46 %). The most prevalent symptom in ENT patients with TMD was otalgia (42 %). When crossing data between TMD and otologic complaints in patients with TMD and negative ENT disease aural fullness had high prevalence both in individuals who had myofascial pain (26 %) and in those who had DDWR (23 %).
