O transplante dental autógeno é a transferência de um órgão dental para o sitio cirúrgico de outro com indicação de exodontia, na mesma pessoa. Os transplantes autógenos de terceiros molares se apresentam como uma opção viável para se solucionar problemas de reabilitação oral em pacientes jovens com molares perdidos precocemente, principalmente por serem biologicamente compatíveis e apresentam uma alta taxa de sucesso, 84%.

Gingival recession is the process of proliferation and migration of the junctional epithelium along the root surface. This phenomenon occurs as a consequence of the processes of inflammation and tissue destruction, which are caused by the periodontal disease. Guided Tissue Regeneration (RTG) in recessions is used to solve, or at least, to reduce aesthetic and functional damages, starting from the principle of that the placing of a physical barrier between the root surface and the gingival flap avoids the direct contact of the epithelium and gingival connective tissue with the root surface. A favorable condition is then created for the proliferation of the periodontal ligament cells, resulting in a new insertion. The results obtained with the RTG depend on an efficient control of the bacterial plaque and on a periodic maintenance. Ver menos
